A short sci-fi film set in the middle of the 21st century, that centers around reclusive, retired tech company CEO David Hinton's attempts to teach AI how to experience and process true human emotions.

The body of a young woman is found in a construction quarry. The deceased is Vera Topilina, secretary to the head of the Main Directorate, Menshutina. Moscow Criminal Investigation Department inspectors Vasilyev and Losev investigate the causes of the woman's death. Ultimately, the investigation leads the operatives to major players in the shadow economy.

Rachel discovers she is pregnant. Just as she is about to break the news to her stockbroker boyfriend Bill, he dumps her. Heartbroken and angry, Rachel takes Bill's cherished sports car, clears out their joint bank account and heads off to the country and to her dysfunctional family's farmhouse.
